Call for Proposals: DAAD Alumni Events 2026 – Change by Exchange
Funding Opportunity: Alumni are invited to apply to DAAD Hanoi for a grant of up to 3,000 EUR (details in the brochure and information sheet) to organise events comprising:
- A public presentation of a socially relevant, academically inspired topic – in any format. DAAD funding may be used to invite a speaker from Germany.
- An internal DAAD-hosted workshop to strengthen alumni contributions to Vietnamese-German academic relations.
Key requirements:
- Events must be held in: Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho
- At least 50% of participants must be DAAD Alumni
- A minimum of 30 participants is desirable
- Topics should be linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Event duration: max. 1 day
- Event dates: flexible, but before 15 November 2026
Organisation: Events are to be self-organised by the local Alumni community, including programme design, speaker recruitment, marketing and participant management. One person must be designated as the main responsible organiser.
